Could I turn off my engine instantly after drive

If you have been driving for a while, shut it off whenever you like.

If you engine is cold, let it warm up before shutting it off.

What year is your RX8? I had a 2004 and had a problem with this .... I was also told that i needed to leave the car running for atleast 3 mins. after turning on the engine. I no longer own the 2004, I now own a 2009 RX8 and have been told by the service manager at the Mazda dealership that I use that it is no longer an issue.

mine is 2004. Yes,I think once the engine was warmed up, I don't need to worry about it. So I really don't like to drive for short distance or in the winter.
