Royal Purple Oil

I just purchased a used RX-8 and the dealer (not Mazda) had just recently converted to Royal Purple. I was at a Mazda dealership today asking about this oil and I was told that this is the worst oil to put in a rotary engine and told me I need to have it drained and replaced with Mobile1. Is this true about Royal Purple?

I wouldn't put that stuff in my rx8. Here's the deal, the engine actually burns a little of this engine at a time. Synthetic oil leaves residue that kills performance. Also, synthetic oils can damage the carbon tips of the rotary engine, leading to engine failure.

This is a huge controversy amongst rotorheads. So talk to the mechanics at the Mazda dealerships.

It'll be hard to win it if you don't spin it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
